Charan Kamal Kaur had a lifelong dream of serving the poor and needy in an organized manner. This dream became a reality on August 17, 2011, when she founded the Kartar Aasra Trust. She outlined her vision in the objectives of the Trust’s Registered Deed, with the establishment of an old age home as the top priority. As a result, Kartar Aasra Orphanage and Old Age Home were created.

A former school building was transformed into an old age home to provide shelter and care for helpless destitutes. Over the years, the Ashram has evolved into a well-organized home for both senior citizens and children from Below Poverty Line (BPL) families.

The journey from founding the NGO to the present has been filled with challenges. While significant progress has been made, there is still a long way to go. Development remains slow due to limited donations, but the mission continues with unwavering dedication.
